Irish Girls Punch Their Ticket to 5th Straight State Final

The York Catholic Girls Basketball team advanced to their 5th straight AA State Championship match by defeating Delone Catholic Tuesday night. The Fighting Irish have won 3 of the last 4 State titles, losing last year to Villa Maria Academy. They will face VM again this year in the final to be played Friday at Noon at Penn State's Bryce Jordan Center.
Unfortunately, York Catholic was the only YAIAA hoops team to survive the local version of Bloody Tuesday. In addition to Delone the Red Lions ...

State Basketball Playoffs This Weekend!

As of today, 4 YAIAA hoops teams remain in the 2009-10 State Basketball Tournament which wraps up this weekend at the Bryce Jordan Center at Penn State. York Catholic will face Delone Catholic in one of the AA Girls Semifinals tonight. The Eastern York Boys play in a AAA Semifinal and the Red Lion Girls will compete in a AAAA Semifinal. So, tell us all... Who will make it to PSU... and who will go home tonight?
